Taking to the air

Today I’m sharing the flying portion of our trip to a nearby fly-in pancake breakfast.

Flying always affords a totally different perspective on the world.  I call it my “God view” even though I know the view I get from our little Comanche is nothing compared to what God must see when he views the world.  It is fascinating, though, to realize just how small our place in this world really is.  And to have the ability to look down on the world below and try to fathom the idea that God is in control of it all is just mind boggling.  Every time we get the opportunity to fly, Joel and I marvel at what a privilege and honor it truly is.

I’m not as thrilled about these pictures as I was about yesterday’s car shots.  But, nonetheless, they remind me of what a fun morning we had taking to the air.

I thought this was a neat shot of Andrew’s school…

  1. wow! great memories made right there. how cool that you get to experience that together. now i'm not one for flying in small planes so please keep sharing your awesome photos of the world we often take for granted. can't even imagine what it all must look like from God's perspective - i don't think my mind can wrap around that thought. hugs and love!
