Message in a bottle

I have a friend who is an amazing party planner.  Tonight Katelyn gets to go to her daughter’s birthday slumber party which is a luau theme and this is what the invitation looked like.  Pretty amazing, huh?

What’s more amazing is that this actually came through the mail.  The bottle was sealed with a cork and inside was the invitation rolled up like a scroll, a small shell, some sand, and a cute little drink umbrella.  I never even knew you could mail something like that or that it would actually arrive completely intact!

To say that Katelyn is excited about this party is a complete understatement.  She has been asking to pack her bag and has talked about little else for weeks.  And to say that I’m thankful for this friendship between two nine year old girls is another understatement.  This little girl is a blessing to Katelyn and I hope they can be friends for a long time to come!
