Vintage Macro

While I’ve been adjusting to and practicing with my new 50 mm lens, my macro has been a little neglected.  So one night this week, I decided to pop the macro lens on my camera, escape the chaos of piano practice, supper dishes and homework central and take a walk around my yard to see what I could find…

And for fun, I thought I’d stray from my usual editing style to play with a more vintage look.  I love how easy it is to achieve this look with Pure Photoshop's "Just A Pinch" action set.  For these shots, I used:  Just a pinch of … brown, fade, old school and color.

I came across a quote recently that I think is the perfect ending to this post…

“Maybe this is the true secret to being fulfilled and content.  Living in the moment with God, defined by His truth and with no unrealistic expectations for others or things to fill me up.  Not reaching back for what I hope will be my tomorrow.  But living fully with what is right in front of me.  And truly seeing the gift of this moment.”  Lysa Terkeurst, Becoming More Than a Good Bible Study Girl
