One Flower–Four Ways

My husband had to install a bigger hard drive in our computer over the weekend because we were running out of space … mostly because of the number of pictures I have stored.  Regardless of the the fact that I now have more space, I decided it was time to do some serious cleaning and purging of my pictures.  I’m trying to be ruthless … if I didn’t edit it initially, it was more than likely because I wasn’t satisfied with it and it can go.

But along the way I’ve found some treasures as well.  I took a series of shots in my sister-in-law’s backyard back in July that got kind of forgotten.  They would probably be better if the whole flower was in focus, but what I really liked about them then and what I still like now is the shadow.  My eye is drawn to it.  The shot also feels kind of dramatic to me, which I like.  Seems appropriate for this particular flower.

Without further adieu, here is one flower – four ways…

I’ll share more from this series sometime this week…

Until then, happy Monday!
