Yesterday was the first day of school. It’s a tradition at our house to hold a sign with the date and grade they are entering for our annual first day of school pictures. That way I don’t have to guess what grade they are going in to because although I pride myself on having a pretty good memory, there is no way I’d be able remember every picture and every year.
I thought it would be fun this year to also include their first grade pictures – not only to see how much they’ve grown but to see how far I’ve come in my photography skills. Back then, I wasn’t really into photography like I am now, I just knew I liked to take pictures of my kids. I’m glad I did because it is just so precious to look back at those sweet little faces and remember when…
I just had to include this one too because I LOVE it so much! These two are like oil and vinegar much of the time but you’d never know it by looking at this precious shot. You’d also never know it was taken at our local grocery store! They have the best muffins and so we often stop there for breakfast on our way to school as a special treat. This morning Daddy joined us for a back-to-school breakfast date! Unfortunately, Andrew gets on the bus at 6:45, so he wasn’t able to join us.
Everyone came home from their first day with smiles on their faces and with stories to tell and I am praising God for the ways he is already taking care of them. He even arranged for Andrew and his best buddy to have the same lunch shift for the second year which is an immense blessing and answer to prayer.
It’s gonna be a great year … I just know it!
[PS…I’m also linking up to Sweet Shot Tuesday, so if you’d like to see more sweet shots, be sure to visit Life With My 3Boybarians]
That is such a great idea, Mom! LOVE it. So glad to see they are still all smiles. That make it much easier on you. :)
