I found these petite, white flowers growing wildly next to my driveway this week. I’m not exactly sure what they are but am thinking that maybe they’re wild roses – their branches and stems are very thorny and look just like a rose bush. Not sure. Regardless, though, aren’t they pretty? As much as I love flowers that are planted with purpose, I really love the surprise and wonder of something that hasn’t been planted by human hands. We get to enjoy a lot of wonder and surprise in our woods throughout the year, but spring is probably the best time because we never know what we’re going to see.
I edited these in Adobe Camera Raw and Elements 9 and then added a few of Kim Klassen's free weekly textures (Crackerjack, Lilly and Cherish, I think).
[linking up for the first time for Flower Art Friday]
Welcome to Flower Art Friday. Hope you come back again and again. I love the delicacy of these flowers. The processing is lovely.
ReplyDeleteThey are very pretty indeed. I'm thinking these might be fruit blossoms of some kind, perhaps Raspberries?
ReplyDeleteI agree, I think they are a wild rose and you captured it beautifully!!
