Flowers in February?

We have enjoyed one of the warmest winters in a long time and as a result my crocuses are already blooming!  In the middle of February in Indiana, this is unheard of.  In fact, I probably wouldn’t have even noticed they were up if it weren’t for a friend who came to pick up one of the kids last week and noticed that the daffodils were several inches out of the ground.  That got me curious.  So I went looking and found lots of little treasures…

Thinking of spring makes me giddy!  It won’t be long now!

  1. I've never seen those yellow/deep red croci before! I think they are so gorgeous! No sign of them in Boston yet though!

  3. Isn't this weather bizarre? Our crocuses in Virginia are up also, and our daffodils will bloom any day now. Your close-up photos are fantastic! Thanks so much for sharing.

  5. These are all very pretty. I really like the contrast of the brown leaves and such against the pretty lavendar petals.

We've had unseasonably warm weather too. It was almost 80 degrees today. I think plants and trees everywhere are confused.
